Family day out! Day 81

I had the courage to go out on a family day out today for the first time since TSW. It was a Teddy Bear's Picnic run by a local community church. Today is Day 81 of TSW. I was all prepared to get all judged and asked about but no one did and people who knew me just asked how I was in general but not specifically about my skin. I think a lot r actually afraid of asking. But I told them about my TSW case and I actually printed out these little notes to give info about my condition. I gave out 4 today :)

Overall it was a very fun day even though my face was burning, weeping and very sore upon contact with wind but I'm glad I went out. My boys were happy and that is most important! As u can see from photo below my face is really red and sore :( it's was an indoor event and I was all sunglasses and hat on haha but I just don't care anymore I want some fun family time and if ppl care or have the guts to ask me about my skin then I can tell u! I hope everyone had a good start to their weekend :)

  3. Yes, I keep a blog myself but it's not about my TSW journey but more about my boy and my family. You can go check it out: puppymantau.blogspot.com
I feel your pain. This is my 2nd time going thru TSW (1st time just didn't know it was TSW). My face was dry and flaky and horrible. This time the worst area for me was my arms and legs. I wish you and I were in the same city so we can meet up and vent to each other, haha. It seems like no one really understands the struggle and pain TSW warriors have been going through... . We just have to stay strong for our kids! I will keep you in my prayers too. Be positive :)

I know what you mean aye, I went to TSW 5 times over the years I grew up cos drs just didn't know and put me back on steroids and antibiotics :( oh we can still vent here! you are more than welcome to send me a personal email: email.ahfaye@gmail.com. I know aye no one "normal" will ever really get it in terms of the pains (mentally and physically) that we TSW warrior go thru! I'm so happy I have u, another buddy mummy TSW warrior to look up to in this hell journey! Stay strong! xxx
